Terms and Conditions of Ticket Resale

LOCOG has established the following terms and conditions for the resale of Tickets to the London 2012 Games under the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme referenced in clause 17.4 of the Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase (http://www.tickets.london2012.com/purchaseterms.html). These terms and conditions shall form part of the Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase. Capitalised words and expressions used in these terms and conditions of Ticket resale shall have the same meanings as those used in the Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase and references to clauses shall be to clauses of the Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase. By submitting your Tickets to the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme you are certifying that you have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase, including the following terms and conditions for the resale of Tickets.

  1. Under the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme, Purchasers shall be permitted to resell, at face value, Tickets purchased from LOCOG. Tickets not purchased from LOCOG are not eligible for resale under the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme. The resale of a Ticket via the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme shall not contravene clauses 17.1 and 17.2.

  2. The submission of Tickets to the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme by a Purchaser will not guarantee that any or all of the Tickets submitted will be resold. Such Tickets may be sold in full, in part or not at all.

  3. Purchasers will be permitted to select any or all of their Tickets for resale where such Tickets were purchased prior to 6 January 2012. Where Tickets are purchased on or after 6 January 2012, Purchasers will be provided with an opportunity to resell those Tickets via the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme in the spring of 2012.

  4. Where Tickets submitted to the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme are subject to rules of eligibility (i.e. Group Organiser, Ticketcare and wheelchair companion Tickets) those rules of eligibility will continue to apply to the Tickets remaining in a Purchaser's ticketing account if the Tickets submitted for resale are ultimately resold. For example, a Purchaser will only qualify for Group Organiser Tickets where 20 Tickets have been purchased for a given Session. Where, subsequent to the submission of Tickets to the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme, a Purchaser is left with fewer than 20 Tickets to a given Session, that Purchaser will no longer qualify for 2 Group Organiser Tickets. The Purchaser may therefore be required to pay for any Group Organiser tickets remaining in their account. A Ticketcare Ticket will continue to be valid only with an appropriate accompanying Ticket. A wheelchair companion Ticket will continue to be valid only with an accompanying wheelchair space Ticket. The submission of Group Organiser, Ticketcare or wheelchair companion Tickets to the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme will not result in the realisation of any monetary value for those Tickets upon the resale of the Tickets to which they are subsidiary.

  5. Once a Purchaser has submitted their selection of Tickets for resale, those Tickets will be removed from the Purchaser's ticketing account.

  6. If, subsequent to a Purchaser having submitted a selection of Tickets for resale, that Purchaser decides they no longer wish for those Tickets to be made available for resale, they will be required to contact the London 2012 Ticketing team. Purchasers will be able to cancel Tickets submitted for resale: a) in writing, by contacting the London 2012 customer service team www.tickets.london2012.com/help.html ; or b) by telephone on 0844 847 2012, in both cases quoting their ticketing account number and explaining which tickets they no longer wish to be made available for resale. In the event that Tickets submitted for resale have already been resold by LOCOG when a cancellation request is submitted by a Purchaser, the resale transaction will not be cancelled and those Tickets will not be returned to the Purchaser's ticketing account.

  7. In the event that a Purchaser submits all of the Tickets in their ticketing account for resale and all of those Tickets are resold before 6.01pm on 6 February 2012, the applicable delivery fee will also be refunded by LOCOG.

  8. If any of a Purchaser's Tickets submitted for resale via the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme have not been sold by 6.01pm on 6 February 2012, they will be returned to the Purchaser's ticketing account and dispatched to the Purchaser in summer 2012. The Purchaser will be provided with another opportunity to resell those Tickets via the London 2012 Ticket Resale Scheme in the spring of 2012.
